Kyle Freeland placed on Rockies' IL with groin strain
The Colorado Rockies placed starting pitcher Kyle Freeland on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to August 21, with a left groin strain.
Freeland suffered the injury during a start Tuesday night against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The 26-year-old southpaw has regressed significantly from 2018 and is 3-11 in 20 starts this season.
Freeland owns a 6.98 ERA and 1.59 WHIP with 78 strikeouts and 38 walks over 99 1/3 innings.
