Marlins place Jordan Yamamoto (forearm) on the IL

The Miami Marlins placed pitcher Jordan Yamamoto on the 10-day injured list with a right forearm strain.

What It Means:

Yamamoto was scheduled to start on Thursday but will now be sidelined, possibly for the rest of the season, with an arm injury. Robert Dugger will be called up from Triple-A to start in Yamamoto's place on Thursday.

Yamamoto has posted a 4.87 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and 24.5% strikeout rate in 68 1/3 innings pitched this season.
