Nationals' Sean Doolittle (knee) throws simulated inning Wednesday
Washington Nationals reliever Sean Doolittle (knee) threw a 20-pitch simulated inning on Wednesday afternoon.
Doolittle should be back for the Nationals' weekend series against the Miami Marlins, barring any setbacks. He was placed on the 10-day injured list with right knee tendinitis a little less than two weeks ago.
Doolittle owns a 4.33 ERA and 59 strikeouts with 28 saves in 52 innings (54 games) this season.
