Jason Kipnis (wrist) out for Indians rest of season
Cleveland Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis is done for the season due to a fractured hamate bone in his right wrist.
Kipnis made an early exit on Sunday with wrist discomfort. He had been bothered by the issue for a few weeks, and it wound up being a fracture. The 32-year-old veteran is expected to undergo surgery and miss 4-6 weeks.
Kipnis hit .245/.304/.410 with 17 homers, 65 RBI, 7 steals, and 52 scores in 511 plate appearances (121 games) this season.
