Los Angeles Angels infielder Matt Thaiss is not in the lineup on Wednesday versus right-hander Frankie Montas and the Oakland Athletics.
What It Means:
Thaiss is being replaced at third base by Kaleb Cowart who moves over from second base as the Angels shift their infield to accommodate the addition of Andrelton Simmons to the lineup at shortstop.
