Indians' Mike Clevinger (knee) out 6-to-8 weeks
Cleveland Indians pitcher Mike Clevinger (knee) is "expected to return to Major League game activity in 6-to-8 weeks" after undergoing surgery on Friday.
Clevinger is questionable to start the regular season on the active roster after undergoing surgery to repair a left knee injury. With Opening Day about six weeks away, the Indians' right-hander should be able to return before the first month of the regular season is over.
Clevinger is expected to play a key role in Cleveland's rotation after posting impressive numbers in 2019. In 21 starts last season, the 29-year old posted a 13-4 record and 169 strikeouts.
