Giancarlo Stanton (calf) expected back for Yankees in April
New York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton (calf) is expected back at some point in April, general manager Brian Cashman said.
What It Means:
Cashman said it's "unrealistic" for Stanton to be ready by Opening Day, but it doesn't sound like he's facing a long-term absence. His health will be a point of concern all season after Stanton was limited to just 18 games in 2018.
numberFire's models project Stanton to bat .268 with 39 home runs, 96 RBI, and 83 runs scored this season.
