Reds' Shogo Akiyama to hit leadoff when in lineup in 2020
Cincinnati Reds center fielder Shogo Akiyama is expected to hit leadoff when he is in the lineup, per manager David Bell.
Akiyama has performed quite well in his first spring playing ball in the states, batting .346 so far. This news is a strong signal that Akiyama could see significant playing time this season.
Shogo is a late-round pick in 2020 fantasy drafts, but has flashed some upside this spring. numberFire currently projects him to bat 0.245 this season with 9 home runs, 41 runs, 42 RBI and 1 stolen base.
