Braves' Cole Hamels (shoulder) expected to be ready for start of season
Atlanta Braves pitcher Cole Hamels is expected to be available when the season starts, according to Braves' general manager Alex Anthopoulos.
Hamels missed the entirety of spring training earlier in the year with shoulder discomfort but has progressed in his recovery since then. He has resumed throwing and is expected to be ready for the start of the upcoming, 60-game season. The 36-year-old left-hander posted a 7-7 record for the Chicago Cubs last season, recording 143 strikeouts, and a 3.81 ERA in 141.2 innings pitched.
Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Braves (+1400) have the 4th best odds to win the 2020 World Series.
