Diamondbacks' Junior Guerra tests positive for COVID-19

Arizona Diamondbacks reliever Junior Guerra has tested positive for COVID-19, Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo announced.

What It Means:

Guerra's fellow reliever, Silvino Brancho, also tested positive. Both players must pass two consecutive COVID-19 tests, taken at least 24 hours apart, before being allowed to return to the Diamondbacks. Guerra, who spent the past four seasons with the Milwaukee Brewers, was signed to a one-year, $2.55 million contract in December. The 35-year-old right-hander can offer multiple innings of relief and may emerge as one of the Diamondbacks' main setup men.

numberFire's models expect Guerra to record a 4.40 ERA and 1.21 WHIP with 31 strikeouts and 13 walks in 30 2/3 innings of work this season.
