Amed Rosario absence was Mets' decision

New York Mets shortstop Amed Rosario said his absence from Friday and Saturday's workouts was "a team decision."

What It Means:

"I just do what I'm told," Rosario said. The Mets' starting shortstop arrived on Sunday and is fully expected to be ready for Opening Day. He batted .287/.323/.432 with 15 home runs, 72 RBI, 75 runs scored, and 19 stolen bases in 157 games last year. Rosario improved his OPS to .755 from .676 in 2018 in his first full MLB season.

numberFire's models project Rosario to record a .275 batting average and .730 OPS with 5 homers, 23 RBI, 27 runs scored, and 7 steals in 219 plate appearances this season.
