Daniel Norris (undisclosed) designated for Detroit's IL
The Detroit Tigers placed starting pitcher Daniel Norris on the 10-day injured list.
What It Means:
The Tigers didn't provide a reason. Norris has been absent from summer camp workouts up to this point. If the left-hander isn't ready for Opening Day, then Michael Fulmer (elbow) will likely take the fifth spot in the rotation. Fulmer allowed just an unearned run on Wednesday during an intrasquad game. If Fulmer winds up suffering a setback and joins Norris on the IL, then Tyler Alexander could get the nod.
