Diamondbacks' Starling Marte rejoins summer camp

Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Starling Marte has rejoined the team at summer camp.

What It Means:

Marte was absent for three days for undisclosed reasons but was able to rejoin the team on Friday. This return matches the low level of concern Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo had when discussing Marte's absence. The 31-year-old veteran was acquired from the Pittsburgh Pirates in January after he set career-highs in home runs (23), RBI (82), runs scored (97), and OPS (.845) last season. Marte will be the Diamondbacks' everyday center fielder when active.

numberFire's models expect Marte to record a .282 batting average and .808 OPS with 9 homers, 28 RBI, 34 runs scored, and 10 steals this season.
