Marlins' Garrett Cooper main option in right
Miami Marlins first baseman/outfielder Garrett Cooper and Harold Ramirez are the main options in right field, per manager Don Mattingly.
What It Means:
Cooper took 31 turns in right field last season but saw most of his work at first base. He could wind up being the Marlins' primary designated hitter if Ramirez wins the right field job. The 29-year-old slashed .281/.344/.446 with 15 homers, 50 RBI, and 52 runs scored over 421 plate appearances (107 games) last season in his first extended stay in the majors.
