Jose Peraza set to be Boston's full-time second baseman
Boston Red Sox infielder Jose Peraza has impressed the coaching staff considerably, and is ready to be the team's full-time second baseman this season.
What It Means:
"I didn't realize he was this good defensively," manager Ron Roenicke said of Peraza. "We're really pleased with everything he's doing." He figures to slot in alongside Xander Bogaerts and Rafael Devers in the infield, and he'll slide over to spell them on their respective days off.
