Franchy Cordero traded to Royals on Thursday
The Kansas City Royals have acquired outfielder Franchy Cordero from the San Padres in exchange for pitcher Tim Hill.
What It Means:
Cordero will head to Kansas City after the Padres swapped the 25-year old slugger for left-hander Tim Hill. Expect Cordero to be utilized as a fourth outfielder or a part-time designated hitter.
For the upcoming 60-game season, Cordero's yearly projection includes a .230 batting average with 5 home runs and 15 RBI.
