It seems as though the process was lengthier than originally projected, as his arm isn't quite where it needs to be for him to play in this pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign.

In 35 game last season, McHugh pitched to a 4.70 ERA with a 1.23 WHIP, 82 strikeouts and 30 walks across 74.7 innings pitched.
