Jeimer Candelario on bench for second straight for Tigers
Jeimer Candelario will sit for his second consecutive game for the Detroit Tigers.
Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire told reporters that Candelario is 'fine', and that Jordy Mercer is starting tonight due to his strong record (4-for-11 with a home run) against Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Mike Montgomery.
As long as he really is 'fine', our models project Candelario to make 152 more appearances at the plate this season with 5 home runs, 17 runs, 17 RBI, 1 stolen base, and a 0.248 batting average.
