Austin Meadows (COVID-19) expected for Rays next week
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Austin Meadows (COVID-19) is expected to make his season debut during the club's next homestand, per manager Kevin Cash.
That puts Meadows on track to make his 2020 debut sometime between August 4-9. He missed most of summer camp workouts following a positive COVID-19 diagnosis. The 25-year-old hit .291/.364/.558 with 33 homers, 7 triples, 29 doubles, 89 RBI, 83 runs scored, and 12 steals over 591 plate appearances last year in his first full season in the majors.
numberFire's models expect Meadows to post a .283 batting average and .851 OPS with 10 homers, 30 RBI, 29 runs scored, and 5 steals in 212 plate appearances this season.
