Marlins' Isan Diaz opts out of 2020 season
Miami Marlins infielder Isan Diaz has opted out of the remainder of the 2020 MLB season due to concerns surrounding COVID-19.
Diaz, who has not reportedly tested positive for the virus himself, has decided to opt out of the rest of the 2020 season following the outbreak on the Marlins. Diaz stated on his Instagram that "this has been a decision that I have discussed with my family, and I feel it's the best one for me and my overall well-being. I will deeply miss my teammates and competing on the field".
Diaz will finish the 2020 season with 2 runs, 3 strikeouts, and 2 hits in 9 at-bats.
