Heyman: Mets' Yoenis Cespedes reportedly opts out of 2020 season
New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes has reportedly opted out of the 2020 season.
What It Means:
Cespedes reportedly has decided to opt out after not reporting to the team on Sunday. J.D. Davis and Dominic Smith should see a bump in at-bats for the remainder of this season.
Smith's yearly projection includes a .239 average with 4 home runs and 10 RBI in 99 total plate appearances.
