J.D. Davis out of Mets' Monday lineup
New York Mets left fielder/designated hitter J.D. Davis is not starting in Monday's series finale against right-hander Mike Soroka and the Atlanta Braves.
Davis extended his hitting streak to seven games on Sunday with his first double of the season. He's hitting .310/.375/.552 overall. Dominic Smith will be the Mets' DH on Monday while Jeff McNeil moves to left field. Andres Gimenez will cover third base and bat eighth.
