Nationals' Max Scherzer pulled after one inning Wednesday
Washington Nationals starting pitcher Max Scherzer has been pulled from his start Wednesday evening in the team's game against the New York Mets.
Scherzer struggled a bit in the top of the 1st frame, giving up a walk (that would eventually score) and a single to start the inning. But there weren't any clear signs of any injury when he went into the dugout after the third out was recorded. Erick Fedde came out to start the second, meaning Scherzer's day is over. We'll update when we know more.
In 1 inning of work, Scherzer threw 27 pitches with 1 hit, 1 walk, 1 strikeout and 1 earned run.
