Mike Minor

Athletics acquire Mike Minor from Rangers in deadline deal

The Oakland Athletics have acquired left-hander Mike Minor from the Texas Rangers, per multiple reports.

What It Means:

The Rangers will reportedly receive outfield prospect Marcus Smith and third base prospect Dustin Harris in return. Minor owns a rough 5.60 ERA through 35 1/3 innings (seven starts) after recording a 3.59 ERA over 208 1/3 innings (32 starts) in 2019. Despite the rough go of it so far, the Athletics are hoping the 32-year-old left-hander will be able to return to last year's form. Minor is scheduled to be a free agent after the season.

Minor has averaged 21.3 FanDuel points per game this season. His FIP (4.83) is a career-worst and the aforementioned ERA is Minor's worst since his first year in the majors.
