Erick Mejia back with Royals, starting Wednesday
The Kansas City Royals recalled infielder/outfielder Erick Mejia from their alternate training site.
Mejia will replace Kelvin Gutierrez on third base and bat seventh on Wednesday against left-hander Tarik Skubal and the Detroit Tigers. He went 0-for-8 with 5 strikeouts in six games earlier this season.
