J.D. Davis back for Mets on Thursday
New York Mets third baseman/outfielder/designated hitter J.D. Davis is in the starting lineup for Thursday's series opener against left-hander Patrick Corbin and the Washington Nationals.
Davis will serve as the designated hitter in place of Michael Conforto and bat second after a day off. The Mets placed Conforto on the 10-day injured list with left hamstring tightness. Davis is hitless with 10 strikeouts in his last 19 at-bats.
numberFire's models expect Davis to score 14.5 FanDuel points on Thursday with a salary of $2,800. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Mets currently have an implied total of 4.4 runs.
