Yandy Diaz leading off for Rays in World Series opener
Tampa Bay Rays infielder Yandy Diaz will play first base and bat leadoff on Tuesday in Game 1 of the World Series versus left-hander Clayton Kershaw and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Diaz exclusively hit cleanup in the American League Championship Series. This will be his first time batting leadoff since Game 4 of the ALDS. He's taking Ji-Man Choi's spot in the field and moving Manuel Margot to No. 5 in the order. The Rays' full Game 1 lineup: Diaz 1B, Brandon Lowe 2B, Randy Arozarena DH, Hunter Renfroe RF, Margot LF, Joey Wendle 3B, Willy Adames SS, Kevin Kiermaier CF, Mike Zunino C. Tyler Glasnow will toe the rubber for Tampa Bay.
