Adam Frazier absent from Pirates' lineup Wednesday afternoon
Pittsburgh Pirates second baseman Adam Frazier is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Luis Castillo and the Cincinnati Reds.
Kevin Newman will move up to the leadoff spot and slide to second base in place of Frazier. Erik Gonzalez will man shortstop and hit fifth while Wilmer Difo enters the lineup on third base and bats second. Colin Moran will bat third and Phillip Evans will handle the cleanup role.
numberFire’s models project Newman for 8.5 FanDuel points versus the Reds and he has a salary of $2,200 on Wednesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Pirates have an implied total of 3.3 runs versus Castillo and the Reds.
