Donovan Solano sitting Monday for Giants
The San Francisco Giants did not list Donovan Solano in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Solano will head back to the bench Monday with Evan Longoria back at third base and batting third. Tommy La Stella will cover second base.
Solano has enjoyed a solid third season with the Giants. The 33-year-old is batting .311 with a .725 OPS so far through 49 plate appearances in 2021 and has more stolen bases this season (1) than he did in his previous four seasons in the majors combined (0).
