Brandon Nimmo (hip) out Tuesday for Mets
New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo (hip) is not in the lineup on Tuesday against right-hander Garrett Richards and the Boston Red Sox.
Nimmo is dealing with a "mild impingement" in his right hip, per Mets manager Luis Rojas. It sounds like he will be able to avoid a stint on the injured list. Dominic Smith will make the start in left field and bat second. Francisco Lindor has been moved up to the leadoff spot while Pete Alonso, Michael Conforto, and J.D. Davis will be the 4-6 batters.
numberFire’s models project Lindor for 11.1 FanDuel points versus the Red Sox and he has a salary of $3,200 on Tuesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Mets have the third-highest implied total (4.9 runs) out of the 30 teams playing Tuesday.
