George Springer (oblique) activated Wednesday, leading off for Toronto
Toronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer will suit up Wednesday in the team's game against the Washington Nationals.
Springer has been on the injured list the entire season due to oblique and quad strains, but he has been activated Wednesday. He'll immediately start, earning the nod at designated hitter while batting leadoff against Nationals starter Erick Fedde.
In 222 plate appearances this season, Springer has a .265 batting average with an .899 OPS, 14 home runs, 37 runs and 32 RBI.
