Luis Campusano scratched from Padres' lineup Wednesday, Victor Caratini now starting
San Diego Padres catcher Luis Campusano is no longer in the lineup Wednesday in the team's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Campusano was originally scheduled to start behind the dish, but he's been optioned to the alternate site instead. Austin Nola has been activated from the injured list, and he'll figure to be the starting catcher going forward for the Padres. On Wednesday, however, Victor Caratini will get the nod and hit seventh against Diamondbacks starter Riley Smith.
In 38 plate appearances this season, Campusano has a .088 batting average with a .272 OPS and 1 RBI.
