Christian Yelich (back) activated for Brewers against Phillies

The Milwaukee Brewers activated left fielder Christian Yelich (back) and he is back in the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against right-hander Vince Velasquez and the Philadelphia Phillies.

What It Means:

Yelich missed the last three weeks with a lingering back issue. He is 10-for-30 (.333) with a .826 OPS in nine games this season. Yelich will bat third and return to left field in place of Tyrone Taylor. Avisail Garcia has been moved to fifth in the order and Luis Urias is seventh. The Brewers optioned Taylor to their alternate training site in a related roster move.

numberFire's models project Yelich for 13.4 FanDuel points on Monday and he has a $3,800 salary on tonight's nine-game slate. Velasquez owns the third-highest strikeout percentage (30.0) but also the second-highest walk percentage (18.3) out of Monday's listed starters, per our MLB Heat Map.
