Adam Eaton (knee, hamstring) sidelined Wednesday for White Sox

Chicago White Sox right fielder Adam Eaton (knee, hamstring) will not play Wednesday afternoon against right-hander Sonny Gray and the Cincinnati Reds.

What It Means:

Eaton is dealing with a contusion on his knee and tightness in his hamstring resulting from a collision last Thursday. White Sox manager Tony LaRussa told reporters that he hopes to have Eaton back in the lineup on Friday against the Kansas City Royals. Leury Garcia will cover right field on Wednesday and Billy Hamilton will bat eighth and start in center field.

numberFire’s models project Hamilton for 8.5 FanDuel points and he has a $2,000 salary on Wednesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the White Sox have an implied total of 3.8 runs.
