Jorge Polanco grabbing seat for Twins Thursday
Minnesota Twins infielder Jorge Polanco is not in the lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Jordan Lyles and the Texas Rangers.
Polanco will take the day off after striking out six times without a hit over the last two games. Nick Gordon will make his major league debut on Thursday at second base and hit seventh. Max Kepler has been moved up to the top of the order and Byron Buxton is in the second spot.
numberFire's models project Buxton to score the most FanDuel points (15.7) out of every listed hitter on Thursday. He has a $4,400 salary on today's eight-game slate and the Twins have the second-highest implied total (4.8 runs) on the board. Lyles is allowing 2.9 home runs per nine innings with a 14.6 percent strikeout rate against right-handed hitters since the start of last season.
