Tigers put Wilson Ramos on IL with back injury
The Detroit Tigers placed Wilson Ramos on the 10-day injured list with a lumbar spine sprain.
What It Means:
Ramos suffered the injury during Thursday's game against the Boston Red Sox. The Tigers called up Jake Rogers in a related roster move. Grayson Greiner will start at catcher in Friday's series opener against right-hander Matt Shoemaker and the Minnesota Twins.
Per numberFire's MLB Heat Map, the Tigers have an implied total of 4.2 runs on Friday. Shoemaker owns the lowest strikeout rate (13.2 percent) out of the 30 listed starters on Friday's slate.
