Josh Rojas resting Monday for Diamondbacks
Arizona Diamondbacks infielder/outfielder Josh Rojas will not start in Monday's series opener against the Miami Marlins.
The Diamondbacks appear to be giving the hot-hitting Rojas the night off. He has recorded a multi-base hit and/or multiple hits in nine straight appearances, boosting his season average from .173 to .279 in that stretch. Pavin Smith will shift to right field on Monday night and Christian Walker will return to first base.
numberFire’s models project Smith for 10.7 FanDuel points and he has a $3,200 salary on Monday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Diamondbacks-Marlins game has the strongest park factor for batters out of the five games being played. The Diamondbacks also have the third-highest implied total (4.4 runs) out of the 10 teams in action.
