Joc Pederson dropped to No. 8 for Cubs in Cleveland
Chicago Cubs outfielder Joc Pederson will bat eighth in Wednesday afternoon's interleague game against left-hander Sam Hentges and the Cleveland Indians.
Pederson has been dropped down after hitting fifth or leadoff in almost every start for the Cubs since joining the club this offseason. He owns a .219 batting average and a career-low .610 OPS through 87 plate appearances. Matt Duffy has been moved to the top of the Cubs' order Wednesday, followed by Willson Contreras and Anthony Rizzo.
numberFire’s models project Pederson for 8.6 FanDuel points and he has a $2,700 salary on Wednesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Cubs have an implied total of 3.8 runs.
