Nationals' Yan Gomes starting Monday
Washington Nationals catcher Yan Gomes will start in Monday's series opener against right-hander Adbert Alzolay and the Chicago Cubs.
Gomes will catch left-hander Jon Lester and hit seventh. Alex Avila made the start behind the plate on Sunday.
