Alex Verdugo (hamstring) out of Boston's Saturday lineup against Phillies
Boston Red Sox outfielder Alex Verdugo (hamstring) will not start in Saturday's contest against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Verdugo will sit on Saturday night after Boston's outfielder was forced to leave Friday's game with a hamstring injury. Expect Danny Santana to see more at-bats until Verdugo is ready to return.
According to Baseball Savant on 143 batted balls this season, Verdugo has produced a 5.6% barrel rate and a .306 expected average.
