Austin Meadows playing DH for Tampa Bay Monday
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder/designated hitter Austin Meadows will play DH and bat second in Monday afternoon's series finale against opener Trent Thornton and the Toronto Blue Jays.
Meadows drew a pair of walks and struck out twice on Sunday as the Rays' starting left fielder and third batter. He will swap positions with Randy Arozarena for Monday's matinee. Brandon Lowe will hit third.
numberFire’s models project Meadows for 14.0 FanDuel points and he has a $3,800 salary on Monday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Rays' implied total is tied with the Blue Jays' for the highest in the majors on Monday at 5.5 runs. The 11.0-point over/under is currently at least 2.0 entire runs higher than any other game on the slate.
