Kyle Garlick leading off for Twins against Orioles

Minnesota Twins outfielder Kyle Garlick will bat leadoff in Monday's series opener against left-hander John Means and the Baltimore Orioles.

What It Means:

Garlick will play right field over Max Kepler and bat leadoff in place of Luis Arraez. He smashed a go-ahead, three-run homer in the 10th inning on Sunday in a win over the Cleveland Indians, after entering the game as a defensive replacement in the seventh. Kepler and Arraez both appear to be getting breathers on Monday versus the Orioles' left-hander.

numberFire’s models project Garlick for 10.5 FanDuel points and he has a $2,200 salary on Monday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Twins have an implied total of 4.5 runs. Means is registering impressive rates with a 27.4 strikeout percentage and 5.1 walk percentage this season, but he has the worst ground ball-to-fly ball ratio among Monday's listed starters.
