Matt Carpenter on Cardinals' bench versus White Sox
St. Louis Cardinals infielder Matt Carpenter is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's interleave series finale against right-hander Carlos Rodon and the Chicago White Sox.
Max Moroff will make a start on third base and Nolan Arenado will serve as the designated hitter as the Cardinals try to avoid a three-game sweep on the road. Justin Williams will bat ninth and start in left field after being held out of the previous two lineups.
Per numberFire's MLB Heat Map, the Cardinals are the biggest underdog (+190) in the majors on Wednesday and Rodon owns the highest strikeout rate (37.3 percent) out of every listed starter. Our models project Moroff to score 8.5 FanDuel points in the matinee and he has a $2,000 salary on Wednesday's slate. Arenado ($3,300) is projected for 12.4 FanDuel points.
