Miguel Cabrera on Tigers' bench for Thursday matinee
Detroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera is not in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Shane Bieber and the Cleveland Indians.
Cabrera will get a maintenance day as the Tigers wrap up a four-game home set with the Indians. Jonathan Schoop will play first base and bat cleanup. Willi Castro will bat ninth as Detroit's designated hitter.
numberFire’s models project Castro for 8.6 FanDuel points and he has a $2,200 salary on Thursday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Tigers have an implied total of only 3.1 runs and Bieber owns the second-highest strikeout percentage (35.5) out of Thursday's 22 listed starters.
