Chas McCormick kept out of Astros' lineup Wednesday
Houston Astros outfielder Chas McCormick is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's series finale against right-hander Nick Pivetta and the Boston Red Sox.
McCormick had a four-game hitting streak come to an end on Tuesday and his average is back below .200 for the season. Yordan Alvarez, Myles Straw, and Kyle Tucker will start across the outfield for Houston on Wednesday night.
Per numberFire's MLB Heat Map, the Astros' implied total (4.8 runs) is the fifth-highest in the majors on Wednesday. Pivetta has the worst walk rate (11.6 percent) among Wednesday's listed starters, but he also carries the fourth-best strikeout rate (26.3 percent).
