Joc Pederson (back) not in Cubs' lineup Sunday
Joc Pederson (back stiffness) will not play in the Chicago Cubs' Sunday afternoon game against the San Francisco Giants.
Pederson was pulled from yesterday's contest with lower back stiffness, and will now miss today's game as well. We'll have to wait to learn more about the severity of his injury.
If he makes a smooth return, numberFire's models project Pederson for 188 more plate appearances this season, with 9 home runs, 25 runs, 26 RBI, 1 stolen base, and a .223 batting average.
