Evan Longoria (shoulder) placed on Giants' 10-day injured list
San Francisco Giants infielder Evan Longoria has been placed on the 10-day injured list due to a left shoulder strain.
The Giants made the announcement Sunday that the veteran infielder will be sidelined for at least 10 days due to a shoulder ailment. It's unclear how long he'll be out beyond the 10-day stint, if at all. Thairo Estrada has been called up to replace Longoria.
In 186 plate appearances this season, Longoria has a .280 batting average with an .892 OPS, 9 home runs, 28 runs and 30 RBI.
