Randy Wolf retires from baseball
Veteran pitcher Randy Wolf has retired from baseball.
After spending the first eight years of his career in Philadelphia, the lefty bounced around over the final eight seasons of his career, playing 2015 with the Detroit Tigers. Apparently one team had some interest in Wolf for 2016, but the 39 year-old told them he was retiring.
Wolf finished his career with a record of 133-125 and a SIERA of 4.32. The left-hander was never a hard thrower, but he still posted a Strikeout Rate of 18.2 percent during his 16-year career.
