Brewers put Travis Shaw on IL with dislocated shoulder
The Milwaukee Brewers placed third baseman Travis Shaw on the 10-day injured list with a dislocated left shoulder.
Shaw suffered the injury during Wednesday's game and he is expected to be sidelined for an extended period. Luis Urias will cover third base for Milwaukee in Thursday afternoon's game against the Cincinnati Reds. Jace Peterson will enter the lineup at second base and bat sixth.
Shaw is averaging 7.2 FanDuel points per game while slashing .191/.279/.337 with 6 homers and 28 RBI through 202 plate appearances. His OPS has dropped from .717 last year to .616 this season.
