Ryan Zimmerman sitting Thursday for Nationals
Washington Nationals first baseman Ryan Zimmerman is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's series opener against right-hander Anthony DeSclafani and the San Francisco Giants.
Zimmerman hit a pair of homers on Wednesday during an extra-innings road win over the Tampa Bay Rays. It was his first multi-home run game of the season. Josh Bell will shift back to first base Thursday after serving as the Nationals' designated hitter.
numberFire’s models project Bell for 10.1 FanDuel points and he has a $2,900 salary on Thursday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Nationals have an implied total of 4.5 runs. DeSclafani enters Thursday's matchup with a 21.4 strikeout percentage and 7.4 walk percentage.
